Brazil’s Unemployment Rate Remains Stable in October

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – The unemployment rate in Brazil for October was 7.9 percent, remaining stable in relation to September (7.6 percent) according to the IBGE’s (Brazilian Statistics Bureau) Monthly Employment Survey. The rate, however increased by 3.2 percentage points in comparison to October 2014, and was the highest rate for the month of October since 2007.
