The art festival will include a mix of shows, workshops, debates, guided tours and, of course, artistic manifestations. Arte Core will take place in the glorious gardens of Rio’s Museum of Modern Art (MAM), providing a unique and special backdrop for this creative event.

The event has come together thanks to organizers, Homegrown, and their partner, Agencia Macro, working close with MAM Rio. Together, they defined three artistic themes that will act as the foundations of the whole event. These are visual arts, sound art, and skate art.

Throughout the gardens of MAM, international and national artists AFA, Alexis Diaz (Porto Rico), Bragga, Bruno BR, Daniel Mattar, Joana Cesar, Marcelo Macedo, Marcelo Ment, 2501 (Italy), Saci Pedro, Sesper and Smael will paint panels in their own signature styles outside the museum, whilst artists Bili Gebara, Eduardo Baptista Xavier, Felipe Bardy, Pharrá Buarque and Rafael Uzai will make installations that represent their skills and talents.

In addition, there will be a photo exhibition by Marco Frossard as well as other exhibitions from Bruno Big, João Lelo, Marcio Swk, Marcelo Ment, Ronaldo Land and Izolag. In the Espaço Converse there will be live graffiti and shows from music bands Raça, Ombu, Séculos Apaixonados, Sent U Feelin, Combo S/A and Beach Combers.

There will also be two projects running parallel to the shows. One project, 1001 Histórias com Arte explores the stories told through art, whilst the other Des_Construir, invites public interaction to help create new art with new perspectives and angles. A food area will be set up additionally with various food trucks and beer tents.
