“Babilônia Feira Hype” Returns to Rio this Weekend

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Babilônia Feira Hype fair is back to Rio this weekend, May 26th and 27th. Happening from 2PM to 10PM, this edition will take to Parque das Figueiras, in Lagoa, 150 exhibitors from diverse creative industry sectors, like design, fashion and visual arts.

Part of Rio Zona Sul’s cultural landscape, the 21 year-old fair aims to bring the latest trends from the Carioca creative industry. The diversity of Babilônia Feira Hype allows visitors to check exclusive slow fashion brands, listen to independent Brazilian music artists or simply indulge themselves with fresh homemade food.

“In time of crisis, using creativity to find alternatives is fundamental. Babilônia Feira Hype offers fair prices and entertainment. The audiences want a different shopping experience, which enables a more human relation between the producer and the costumer. And our fair certainly delivers that,” says Robert Guimarães, the event’s producer.

Some of the exhibitors participating in this edition are the fashion brands Vellbizz, Bezzoura, Use To, Sophi, Side B and Cromosomos; and jewelry brands like Das Manas, Branca Acessórios, Carol Meireles and Sara Calle. What’s more, stores like Amor em Tecido, Atelier do Anel, V.Brum, Caroh, F.Carrero and Ondas e Trilhas will be debuting at Babilonia Feira Hype.

The visual arts by Pata Colagens, Herisson Artes, Mariela and Universo Submerso can be found at the fair, which will also host a vinyl record truck. In charge of the musical lineup will be singer Pedro Mann, who will perform on both days of event.

At Babilônia Feira Hype, there will be a food court with 60 culinary stalls, including food bikes, food trucks and drinks’ stalls. Plano B’s Colombian “arepas”, Tia Duca’s “pastéis”, Poke Classic’s Hawaiian food, Suco Q’Beleza’s natural juices, BoraBora’s ice cream and Beju e Magi’s homemade cakes are some of the options visitors will find at the event.

The fair can also be a nice family program for those with children: on both days, there will be recreational activities with group Fabulosos from 4PM to 6PM, and a hula hoop workshop happening all day with group Stardust.
