RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Rock in Rio organizers have confirmed forty well known national and international DJs and electronic acts for the Eletrônica (Electronic) stage line-up of the 2015 festival in Rio de Janeiro. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the seven-day festival, which will again be held in Barra da Tijuca’s Cidade do Rock, will take place September 18th-20th and 24th-27th.

The Eletrônica stage, along with the Palco Mundo (World Stage) and the Palco Sunset (Sunset Stage), are the three main stages of the Rock in Rio festival. Each night during the festival, the Eletrônica stage will come alive at 10:30 PM with DJs spinning non-stop sets until 3AM.

During the festival’s opening night, September 18th, the line-up will include American deep house DJ, Kerry Chandler; American singer-songwriter and house vocalist Barbara Tucker; and Brazilian house DJ Memê. There will also be a special tribute set to Lincoln Olivetti with Lin, Kassin and Baile do Olivetti and a special tribute to late Brazilian rocker Raul Seixas with Brazilian house DJs Lustosa and Vivi Seixas, Raul’s daughter.

On September 19th, well known Italian duo Crookers will headline the stage. Also spinning during the night will be Dutch DJ Headhunterz; Brazilian duo Tropkillaz; the Brazilian masked quartet of DJs A Liga (The League); and Chemical Surf which consists of DJs Luke and Hugo Sanchez.

DJ, producer, and engineer, Matador will headline the night of the 20th joined on the line-up by the tech and deep house DJ duo of Pig + Dan; composer and producer Gui Boratto; the Brazilian DJ duo of Flow & Zeo with guest vocalist Karina Zeviani; and the electronic music duo Elekfantz with DJs Daniel Kuhnen and Leo Piovezani.

The night of September 24th, with its theme, “Kids Want Techno,” will feature all Brazilian DJs, including headliner Vintage Culture. Anderson Noise will be joined by São Paulo native Mau Mau and Renato Cohen for a special collaborative set and the Kids Want Techno 2 Attack set will feature DJs Paula Chalup and Mau Mau.

The night of the 25th will again feature Brazilian DJs and is themed “Brazil EDM Worldwide.” Brasília native, DJ Alok will headline and Felguk with Rio DJs Felipe Lozinsky and Gustavo Rozenthal will spin. Marcelo CIC, Volkoder, and DJ HNQO, from Curitiba, will round out the night’s line-up.

For the “B2B” night on the 26th, sets of DJs will spin back to back. Italian DJ Davide Squillace and German DJ Matthias Tanzmann will headline. Portuguese DJ Vibe will go back to back with fellow Portuguese DJ Rui Vargas. Rio DJ Leo Janeiro with be joined by DJ Leozinho and Warung Club residents Condi and Mandi will be going back to back during the night.

On the final night of the festival, September 27th, Life is a Loop with DJs Leozinho and Fabrício Peçanha and percussionist Rodrigo Paciornik will headline. Also joining the line-up will be Diego Miranda with special guest Rodrigo Sa, progressive house DJ Ely Yabu; and DJ Amanda Chang.

Previously confirmed artists for the World and Sunset stages include Queen with Adam Lambert, One Republic, Lenine, Nação Zumbi, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Korn, Ministry, Elton John, Rod Stewart, John Legend, System of a Down, Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones, Slipknot, Faith No More, Rihanna, Sam Smith, Katy Pery, A-ha and Robyn.
