Performing will be magician/comedian Ben Ludmer from São Paulo, UK native Trevor Lock, Pedro Parga Bastos and relative newcomer Luisa Clasen. Additionally Giggling Guiri will serve as emcee for the event.
Now taking place every two weeks in its new location, Stand-Up Comedy nights are always great nights out, full of laughs with locals and expats. Everyone is welcome. Entry is R$30 and includes a free caipirinha.

Tonight Quintavant Qtv will present a live show with Congolese rapper PAX at Audio Rebel in Botafogo. During the performance, Pax will be accompanied by guitarist Sérgio Zola, synth bassist Pedro Dantas, drummer Rodrigo Souza and Thomas Harres.

Stand Up Comedy (Copacabana)
Improbable Comedy’s stand-up comedy nights are back with a new day and location. Now taking place on Mondays every two weeks at Bottle’s Bar in Copacabana, the events are a great night out and full of laughter and fun for all.

Rio Boat Club (Marina da Glória)
A two-story boat turns into a nightclub complete with top DJs and a happy hour with two for one drinks for men and free drinks for women before midnight. Once the cruise starts, there are some amazing views to take in as the boat travels around Guanabara Bay.

Tonight at the Leviano bar in Lapa, band Clandestinos, led by singer-songwriter Udi Fagundes, will perform their covers of works by Manu Chao, Chico Science, Jorge Benjor, and Bob Marley as well as original arrangements of the best of reggae, dub, ska, and hip-hop. Additionally during the night, Radiola Visto Rasta will play the best of reggae roots and dub.

Weather permitting, classic roda de samba with an emphasis on the music’s African roots is back at Pedra do Sal tonight. The weekly event is considered by many to be one of the most authentic rodas de samba in the city.

Roda de Samba with Rixxa (Lapa)
For more dancing and singing, head to Lapa’s Carioca da Gema tonight. The venue will come alive at 7:30PM with singer Pedro Holanda starting off the night. At 9:30PM it’s time for three hours of live samba provided by vocalist Rixxa accompanied by brilliant percussionists and members of the Zeca Pagodinho band.
