Monday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – By far the biggest party in Rio tonight is the famous New Year’s Eve celebration on Copacabana Beach, with some 2.3 million party-goers expected for the free event. Fireworks go off at midnight, but before and after an amazing line-up of bands and DJs will keep the party jumping. LIVE: New Year’s Eve on Copacabana Beach Brazilian musical acts like Diogo Noguiera, Claudia Leitte will be opposite the Copacabana Palace. Further down the beach opposite Rua Santa Clara, the ‘Palco Claro’ will host the likes of Mariene de Castro, Olo Dance and Baby do Brasil. More about the line up here.
