Roda de Samba da Pedra do SalMonday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – If you are looking for an authentic roda de samba experience in Rio, Pedra do Sal is considered to be one of the best anywhere in the city.

A weekly Monday night live music party, the event has taken place in the same location of the Gamboa area in Centro for years. A wide variety of percussionists, musicians, dancers, samba lovers and all-round party goers is known to flock to the outdoor party every week.

Located on Pedra do Sal, on a huge, smooth rock, the area becomes a makeshift dancefloor with veterans and newcomers alike dancing the night away as the event progresses.
