Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick –Tonight, Terças Di Som is back in Lapa to bring more live performances of some of Brazil’s best-known music.
Attracting a crowd that’s ready to dance every week, Terças Di Som brings together a blend of musical genres, ranging from funk and soul to rock and pop.
Tonight, four-piece band 4Powers will play live renditions of everyone from Jorgeben Jor to Criolo, Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. DJ Aranha will be spinning tunes during the band’s intervals, continuing the evening’s vibe.

Tonight Leviano bar in Lapa will host Terças Di Som with band 4Powers singing the best of rock, soul, groove and funk. The four-piece band will perform classics from Jorge Benjor and Jimi Hendrix, as well as Criolo, Bob Marley, Manu Chao, Orishas and Chico Science. Additionally, DJ Aranha will spin during the intervals.

To start the night at Rio Scenarium, DJ Bruno Quak will open for Ana Costa, spinning a selection of MBP, pop and samba-rock from 7PM. Ana Costa will play at 8PM, performing the best of samba classics including Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho and Chico Buarque. DJ Bruno Quak will take over once again at 11:40 PM, until the end of the evening.

Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there are plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Cuban bar Mais que Nada offers a lively and friendly night, drawing in a younger crowd just as much during the week as on the weekend. Tonight, they host their weekly Ladies Night where women get in for free all night. There will be Happy Hour until 12AM where promotions will include 2 for 1 on caipirinhas, caipvodka and mojito until 12AM.

Located just around the corner from Posto 9, Blue Agave in Ipanema is well known for great Mexican food, drinks and for broadcasting live sports. Tonight they will have a two for one tequila night all night that includes all shots and margaritas. Additionally, most of the wait staff and crowd speak English.
