Rio Nightlife Guide for Monday, January 4, 2016, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Brazil News Monday’s Rio Nightlife Pick –Tonight the I Hate Mondays party returns to the popular CAVE club in Arpoador for its forty-second edition.

DJs Yasmin of Papo 10, Tamy of Bafronika, and Sal of the 7 Day Weekend parties will spin during the night. Additionally, DJ Sydney will spin a specail Ele Mesmo set and DJ Schlaepfer will spin an I Hate Flash set.

An underground venue, CAVE is one of the most talked about clubs in the city. It has, since its opening, hosted top notch events including the popular Wobble and DOOM parties, the Brazilian Wax event, Dutch DJ Eelke Kleijn as part of the Rio Music Conference Club Week and the Friendly Fires and Charli XCX as part of the MECAPresent Rio Festival.

Rio Boat Club (Lapa)
The one and only Rio Boat Club is back tonight and things will get started at 11PM with happy hour. Lasting until midnight, drinks will be free for women and there will be two-for-one specials for men. The boat will then leave the Marina at 12:30AM. DJs Ricardo Martins and Bruno Lima will spin the best of house, hip hop, pop, Brazilan funk and reggaeton as the boat makes its way around the Bay with beautiful views of o Pão de Açucar, Cristo, Museu de Arte Contemporânea and the Rio-Niterói bridge.

I Hate Mondays (Arpoador)
Tonight the I Hate Mondays party will return to the CAVE club in Arpoador for its 42nd edition. During the event, DJs Yasmin, Tamy, Schlaepfer, Sydney, and Sal will spin during the night.

Roda de Samba with Rixxa, Inácio Rios, and Marcos Novatto (Lapa)
For a great night of dancing and singing, head to Lapa’s Carioca da Gema. The venue will come alive at 7:30PM with a peformance by Marcos Novatto and Inácio Rios will follow at 8:30PM. Then at 10:30PM vocalist Rixxa, accompanied by brilliant percussionists and members of the Zeca Pagodinho band, will provide three hours of lively samba.

Lunes Sessions @ Leviano (Lapa)
On Monday nights in December, the Leviano bar in Lapa is presenting Lunes Sessions with the band Clandestinos, led by singer-songwriter Udi Fagundes, performing their covers of works by Manu Chao, Chico Science, Jorge Benjor, and Bob Marley as well as original arrangements of the best of reggae, dub, ska, and hip-hop.

Monday Night Football @ Blue Agave Copa (Copacabana)
In addition to great drinks and authentic Mexican food, the Blue Agave bar in Copacabana is one of the best places to watch live sports including NFL games, as they will stay open past 2AM to watch the end of the late game if there is a big enough crowd.
