Samba @ Castelinho (Flamengo) – This is a classic ‘Roda de samba’ (Samba circle) without a script, purely improvised with the musicians playing according to the spirit of the night.

Samba do Castelinho is formed by Ana Costa, Paulao 7 cordas, Leonardo Pereira, Marquinho China, Anderson Balbueno, Bianca Calcagni and Jorge André.

Come and enjoy samba in one of the most beautiful and historic settings in all of Rio.

PARTY:
Baila Me Festa @ Pub Kriok (Lapa) – This is the Monday part in Lapa, Rio’s nightlife center.

Free caipirinhas until midnight!

Two floors, two parties, with an infinite number of ways to dance the night away.

There will be a line up of three DJs, two bars, plus a resting mezzanine and smoking area.

Expect plenty of funk, reggaeton and hiphop.

The party starts at 11PM and entry is free!

Marcos Nimrichter Trio @ Audio Rebel (Botafogo) – Marcos Nimrichter stops by Audio Rebel to present his new album “Ao Vivo no Municipal” and also play some classics of Brazilian music.

On the stage of Audio Rebel, Marcos Nimrichter (keyboard) will be accompanied by Jefferson Lescowich (bass) and Rafael Barata (drums), displaying their talent in a show where songs such as “Garçon” by Reginaldo Rossi and “Bola Dividida” by Luiz Ayrão, come alongside classics like “Passarim”, by Tom Jobim, and “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head”, by Burt Bacharach, besides original compositions from Nimrichter.

Marcos Nimrichter is a pianist, accordionist, composer, arranger, music producer, teacher and TV presenter. He studied music since he was four years old and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Piano and Composition from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). During his famous career, Marcos participated in concerts and albums by artists such as Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento, Hermeto Pascoal, Elza Soares and Maria Bethânia. With Jefferson Lescowich and Rafael Barata, he forms the Marcos Nimrichter Trio.

Tickets are R$20 and the show starts at 8PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Blue Agave Copa (Copacabana)
As well as great drinks and authentic Mexican food, the Blue Agave bar in Copacabana is one of the best places to watch live sports. Make sure to check out the original Blue Agave located in Ipanema also.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Monday to Friday, Happy Hour is from 6PM to 8PM and Mondays are half-price steak nights starting at 8PM.

Nosso (Ipanema)
Located in a charming house at Maria Quitéria Street, its sophisticated drinks and dishes are undoubtedly worth a try. You will also enjoy Nosso if you are a rum lover: their rum drinks, with labels from Cuba and Jamaica, are the house specialties.
