Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tiradentes Cultural Edição Junina, or the Tiradentes Cultural Junina Edition, is a holding a special Festa Juninha edition on this first Saturday of the month, with DJ Calani providing music from 1PM to 8PM at Praça Tiradentes in Centro.

The program will offer customized “hick” costumes, forró, games like; sack races, egg and spoon races, as well as musical chairs. To complete the culinary fair, 42 stalls will offer food options all for R$22.

Among the delicacies, there will be cheesecake with guava, cassava cookie with dried meat, sweet pumpkin and banana, grits, couscous, paçoca, Chikki, portion of spiced stuffed sausage, corn fritters, and Queijadinha.

Sertanejo na Lagoa with Thiago Mastra (Lagoa)
The posh venue Miroir in Lagoa will host the weekly Sertanejo na Lagoa party with Thiago Mastra live tonight. Additionally, DJ Luciano Roffer and a special guest will spin during show intervals. Caipirinhas will be free until 12AM and there will be promotions on Heineken throughout the night.

The High as Sh!t party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight with DJs Bia Marques, Doug Def, Fernando Henri, Paula Queiroz, and Tago Oli spinning the best of rap, trap, and hip hop during the night.

The CAVE club in Arpoador will host once again the CAVE Sessions tonight. DJs Duwolf, Olliver Mach, Nepal, Keskem, and Henrique Dessanti will spin throughout the party.

We Love RJ! (Copacabana)
The New Mariuzinn Copacabana will host the We Love RJ! party once again tonight. There will be a four hour open bar from 11PM to 3AM with Smirnoff Vodka, tropical drinks, caipirinhas, Sex on the Beach, Blue Lagoon, Antarctica beer, mineral water, and sodas. Additionally, there will be shots of tequila. DJs Guga Fernandes and DLuccio will spin the best of house, hip hop, reggaeton, cumbia, funk and deep house throughout the night.

The trio Tropical Nova will start off the night at Rio Scenarium tonight at 8PM with the best of classic samba and the bloco Empolga às 9 will follow at 11PM with more lively samba. Then beginning at 3AM, the group Xique-xique will perform the best of forró.

Ana Costa and Breno Alves (Lapa)
Breno Alves will open the night at Carioca da Gema tonight and singer Ana Costa will follow. Costa is known for reinvigorating the sounds of old samba and will perform a lively repertoire, including songs from her 3rd album entitled, Hoje é o melhor lugar.

It’s time for the best of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath as the band Black Dog returns to Saloon 79 in Botafogo tonight to perform live. Additionally during the night, Theddy-O and Tony Rock will spin the best of rock’n’roll during show intervals.

This American-owned restaurant and bar on Copacabana Beach is a great place for food, drinks and entertainment. Additionally, Tony Boka will be playing at Mab’s Mondays through Saturdays from 6PM to 10PM. Boka is known for his varied repertoire that always pleases the crowd.
