The Rio show is part of South American leg of the #M5OnTheRoad Tour and is one of six shows in Brazil.

Audio Rebel Convida Curated by Chico Dub (Botafogo)
Tonight Audio Rebel in Botafogo will host the final night of the debut edition of Audio Rebel Convida. Curated by cultural producer Chico Dub, the series has featured performances of contemporary music, free improvisation, sound installations, dance performances and a discussion with Brazilian and international artists. Tonight the series will close with a free performance of Musicircus, a 1967 concept performance composition by pioneering American composer, artist, and music theorist John Cage.

Jazz no Morro (Cantagalo)
Tonight the weekly Jazz no Morro event returns to Gilda in Cantagalo with the Allbrazz Quarteto performing live. Additionally during the night, DJ Marc Nunes will spin the best of Brazilian music, dance music, and classic rock during show intervals.

Maroon 5 (Centro)
American pop rock band Maroon 5, originally from Los Angeles, California will perform at the famous R. Marques de Sapucaí venue where the Carnival parade competitions are held each year. Dashboard Confessional, an American acoustic rock band from Boca Raton, Florida will be opening.

Tonight Sette Leblon will host the Sette Zouk party with DJs Mafie, Eyer, and Lorde spinning on the first floor while DJs Arkkanjo and Thiagão spin on the second floor. Those arriving before 10PM with receive one free caipirinha and additional promotions will include two-for-one specials on beer and caipirinhas until 11PM.

Duo (Gávea)
It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club. DJs Ed Caetano and Babi will start the party tonight by spinning on the deck beginning at 5PM. Then beginning at 12AM, DJs Dri Toscano and Caio Bucker will follow, spinning inside on the dancefloor until 5AM Monday morning.

Roda de Samba and Football with Ballet 2 Passistas (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Samba Di Buteco playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals.

It is Maryland (5) vs Hawaii (13) today in round 32 of the NCAA basketball, starting at 8:10 PM local time, and Shenanigan’s has the biggest screen to watch in Rio. Also with classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Every Sunday, promotions include two for one Sol beer, caipirinha and caipivodka.
