Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – British electronic duo The Chemical Brothers will perform live at Vivo Rio tonight.
Currently touring in support of their most recent release, Born in the Echoes, the duo consisting of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, has released eight studio studio albums, to date.
Rowlands and Simons formed The Chemical Brothers in 1989 in Manchester, England and then become one to biggest names in 90s electronic music, They continued to go strong during the 00s and many critics claim their latest release is the duo’s triumphant return to the dancefloor.
This is a show not to be missed by fans in Rio de Janeiro of dance and electronic music.

Today and tonight, the weekly Jazz no Morro event returns to Gilda in Cantagalo with Jazzophilia paying tribute to Mile Davis. Additionally during the night, DJ João Santiago will spin the best of Brazilian music, pop, and classic rock during show intervals.

It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club. Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Samba Di Buteco playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals.
