Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time again for the Bem Brasil Rio Hostel Party.
For over five years, the event has been going strong and gaining popularity. Held at Gávea’s chic club 00 (Zero Zero) with its indoor/outdoor arrangement, the Bem Brasil Rio Hostel Party is a weekly meeting of locals, tourists, and travelers staying in sixty of Rio’s hostels.
During the event tonight, there will be live Brazilian music, DJ JR Mahr will spin the best of hip hop and Haron Dufau will spin the best of Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, kuduro, and hip hop.
Make sure to show up early for the free caipirinhas from 11PM to 12AM and stay late to make new friends and dance the night away as the party continues until sunrise on Wednesday.
Matriz Live Sessions with Psicóticos and Adrenalize (Botafogo)
Spotlighting up-and-coming rock bands and musicians while adding some life to typically less than lively Tuesday nights in Rio, the ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo. Tonight the bands Psicóticos and Adrenalize will perform live and promotions will include two-for-one caipirinhas all night.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
The Bem Brasil party is back at 00 (Zero Zero) tonight with live Brazilian music. The weekly Feel Leblon party is back at Sette Leblon bar and lounge tonight. Promotions include all you can drink caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beers for R$15 all night long. During the event, DJs Guga Fernandez and Matheus will spin the best of electronica, trap, house, indie rock, funk Carioca, hip hop, reggeation, and samba. Entry fee is free for women until 12:30AM.

Késia Estácio (Lapa)
Tonight singer Késia Estácio will perform live at Carioca da Gema in Lapa. Estácio cites influences including Elis Regina, Djavan, and Chico Buarque, among others, and tonight she will perform the best of MPB, samba, soul and pop.

Jazz Leviano (Lapa)
Every Tuesday the Leviano bar in Lapa is opening its doors for free jazz nights. Tonight the Brassil Melody Band will perform live and DJ Sandro Black will spin the best of jazz, groove, and funk during show intervals.

Language Exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English Language Exchange. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both a fun and educational night and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food. Following the Language Exchange tonight, Miguel Bestard and Larissa Conforto will perform the best of jazz live.
