The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs

We have the top three picks for this Tuesday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

PARTY:
Festa Bem Brasil @ Barzin (Ipanema) – The most traditional ‘Carioca’ party on a Tuesday brings together live samba and the biggest dancefloor hits in the world for people who love to live it up on the weekdays!

Marcelo Cebukin will be performing live saxophone and then DJ Haron Dufau will provide an eclectic set of hip hop, house, reggaeton and funk.

Watch out for the special friends’ list for registered customers at Barzin which will get you in for R$20 if you’re a woman and R$30 if you’re a man.

Otherwise it’s R$40 until midnight and R$50 thereafter.

The bar will be serving double Caipirinhas until 1AM!

This is the best party in Ipanema on a Tuesday and the bar is located very close to other great weekday haunts, such as Blue Agave and Canastra.

Festa Bem Brasil – Rua Vinícius de Moraes, 75 – Ipanema

LIVE:
Rodica – Blues In My Blood @ Centro Cultural Justiça Federal (Centro) – Originally from Boston in the US, the singer Rodica is launching her new CD ‘Blues in my Blood’ at the Centro Cultural Justiça Federal tonight.

This album sees the singer expand her musical partnerships and intensify her exploration into the connection between American black music and Brazilian music.

Rodica will be accompanied by the band Blues Groovers, from Rio de Janeiro.

The release of her second CD, Blues in My Blood, refers to various branches of the blues, in their dialogue with other musical genres such as jazz, country, folk and soul.

This should be a great live performance for those who enjoy soulful music on a Tuesday night.
