KIWednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The sixth edition of Concurso de Cantores do Karaokê Indie (Karaoke Singers’ Contest) will begin at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight.

The competition includes prizes for winners and is fun to watch. Ten singers will compete during each edition and registration is now open. To apply, see the Facebook group.

The competition will last for approximately one hour, leaving seven hours of karaoke for anyone who feels like singing during the night.

Promotions will include two-for-one specials on five drinks; caipirinha, caipivodka, Hi-fi, Cuba Libre. Additionally, shots of Chuva cachaça and snacks will be distributed from the stage throughout the night.

The O Club Workout (the Workout Club) returns to Rio’s Cave club in Arpoador tonight for another high energy edition. The Club Workout originated in NYC and arrived in Rio following the success of classes in São Paulo. The event is an aerobic twerk class inspired by pop diva choreography. The class will last approximately one hour.
