Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick –British rock band Echo and the Bunnymen will play live at Lapa’s Fundição Progresso tonight.
One of the most important rock bands of the post-punk era, they found commerical and critical success through hits that include, “The Killing Moon,” and “Lips Like Sugar,” and built up a worldwide cult following during their over thirty-five years in the industry.
The band, fronted by Ian McCulloch with Will Sergeant on guitar, arrives in the city as part of their ongoing world tour for their twelfth studio album entitled, Meteorites.
Fundição Progresso doors will open at 9:30PM and the show is scheduled to begin at 11:30PM.
Additionally DJs Tom Leão and Edinho will also spin before and after the show.
