duoSunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s Sunday and that means it’s time to end your weekend with the best of house and electro-pop at the Duo party in Gávea’s 00 (Zero Zero).

Tonight the party will host a special Dia Internacional da Mulher (International Women’s Day) edition with things beginning early as always at 5PM and continuing in the chic indoor/outdoor venue until 5AM.

During the night, DJ Babi B-day will spin on the deck while DJs Sabrina Tomé, Miss Klauss and Ani Haze spin inside.

Tonight former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett brings his Genesis Extended 2015 World Tour to Citibank Hall in Barra da Tijuca.

Circuito Sitio Quntavant (Botafogo)
Today the second edition of the Circuito Sitio Quntavant will take place at the Biblioteca Parque Estadual in Botafogo. Free performances during the day will include, Dedo’s presentation of Dedo 037 at 1PM and Gustavo Torres and JP Caron’s presentation of their musical and technogical experiment, “~ Ø (non-empty)” at 5PM. Both sets of performances are scheduled to take place at the Audiotório Darcy Ribeiro. In the Teatro Alcione Araújo, Chelpa Ferro and Rádio Lixo will perfom 6PM. Entry fee for that performance will be R$20.

Game Dreams (Centro)
Video games lovers in Rio should head to the Game Dreams event taking place today from 12PM to 7PM in the Centro de Convenções SulAmérica in Cidade Nova, Centro. During the event there will be tournaments, prizes and games exchanges. Tournaments will be played on Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, Super Smash Bros WiiU, Mortal Kombat, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and more. There will also be Pokémon tournaments and rounds of Yu-Gi-Oh, Vanguard, and Magic.

O Mercado (Laranjeiras)
The fashion and art event, “O Mercado” (The Market) returns to Salão Nobre do Fluminense in Laranjeiras for the second day of its “Bye, Bye Verão” (Bye, Bye Summer) edition. The fair is bidding farewell to the season by hosting fashion, craft, decor, music, and food vendors from 2PM to 9PM again day.

It’s time to dance as singer-songwriter Rogê returns for his weekly show at Lapa’s Carioca de Gema. The lively up-and-coming performer will present his own compositions as well as covers of works by Jorge, Djavan, and Jorge Benjor, among others.

Roda de Samba and Soccer (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Samba Di Buteco playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. DJ Mukato will also spin during the night.
