Producers Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, are the core duo behind Jungle. The two met as children and eventually started composing and producing music. together. They then began working with other artists and slowly formed a collective.
Following the release of the single “The Heat” in 2013, the group released their self-titled debut album last year.
Often praised for the energy they bring to their live shows, the group arrives in Rio tonight with the help of the crowd-sourced fundraiser, Queremos.
Additionally during the night, DJs Satta, Yugo and Nepal with spin after the show.

It’s time again for the Veneno party tonight at Botafogo’s Casa da Matriz. For over ten years the weekly events, filled with good music and beautiful people, have helped start weekends early in Rio. Tonight will be no exception as DJs Tulio Araujo and Beto Artista will spin the best of rock and pop on the first floor. Additionally, the Get Glam party will return to the second floor with DJs spinning the best of post-punk, electroclash, and new wave. Caipirinhas, caipivodkas, Cuba Libres and Hi-Fi’s will be two for one until 1AM.

It’s time for the best of tech, deep house, rap and hip-hop tonight as Fosfobox in Copacabana presents the seventh edition of the B-side party and the Xarpi party, one of the largest rap parties in Rio de Janeiro. Spinning on the Xapri stage in the subsolo (basement) tonight will be DJs Tucho, Kymbo, Drope and Mari Duarte. Above at the Fosfobar, DJs Rafael Lima, Chaloub, Jouz, Deep Beez, Leote, Breaking Leg’s and Bochner will spin on the B-side stage.

Tonight at Lapa’s Leviano bar it’s time to dance as the group Mano a Mano starts things off at 8PM with salsa and merengue on the first floor and bloco Picada de Primeira will follow with the best of MPB, soul, samba and funk. On the second floor the weekly Forró Leviano party will present a live performance by Sotaque do Nordeste andConterrâneos;. Additionally, DJ Angolano will spin salsa and DJ Léo Araripe will spin forró during the night.

Those in search of the finest Asian fusion cuisine and some of the tastiest drinks in Rio, need look no further than Leblon’s Mekong. Tuesdays through Fridays, the restaurant offers executive lunches from 12PM to 4PM for R$29.50 and Happy Hour from 6PM to 8PM features drink specials including caipirinhas and caipikongs for R$9.50 and four Bohemias for the price of three.
