feelleblonTuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The weekly Feel Leblon party returns to Sette Leblon tonight with its unique blend of live music, drinks and dancing.

During the night, DJs Guga Fernandez, Matheus, and Dani Fontenelle will spin the best of Brazilian and international electronic music, house, reggaeton, hip-hop, and funk.

Caipirinhas are free until 12AM and beers are two for one for R$15 all night long. Entry fee for women is also free until 12AM.

Exhibition Opening: Uma paixão francesa/A French Passion (Centro)
Opening today at 10AM at the Museu de Arte do Rio is the exhibition Uma paixão francesa/A French Passion. Featured in the exhibition will be seventy-five photos and videos by artists and photographers including French artists Raymond Depardon and Vincent Rosenblatt, Brazilians Marc Ferrez, Augusto Malta and Oiticica, Moroccan Bruno Barbey and Romanian Ghérasim Luca. The pieces arrive in Rio on loan from French institutions including Centre Georges Pompidou, Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MPE), Société Française de la Photographie and Musée Nièpce. Following the opening today, the exhibition will remain on display through August 9th. It is part of the series of events taking place in celebration of the 450th anniversary of Rio de Janeiro.

Kurt Klagsbrunn Exhibition Opening (Centro)
Also opening tonight at the Museu de Arte do Rio is the exhibition, Um fotógrafo humanista no Rio/a humanist photographer in Rio (1940-1960). The exhibition, which will open at 10PM, includes approximately 200 photos taken by Austrian artist Kurt Klagsbrunn. Considered one of the greatest foreign photographers of the city, Klagsbrunn, born of Jewish descent, arrived in Rio in 1939 seeking refuge from the Nazis. Following the opening tonight, the exhibition will remain open through August 9th and is part of the year-long schedule of events being held in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the city.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
The Bem Brasil party returns to 00 tonight with DJ Haron Dufau spinning the best of Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, kuduro and hip-hop. Promotions include free caipirinhas from 11PM until midnight. This weekly party is always a great opportunity to mix and mingle with visitors to the city, locals and expats in one of the chicest venues in Rio.

Feel Leblon (Leblon)
The weekly Feel Leblon party is back at Sette Leblon bar and lounge tonight. Promotions include all you can drink caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beers for R$15 all night long. DJs Guga Fernandez, Matheus, and Dani Fontenelle will spin the best of world music, funk, trap, reggaeton, house, pop and hip-hop.

Augusto Martins (Lapa)
Singer-songwriter Augusto Martins will present the SPB (Brazilian Popular Samba) project live tonight at Carioca da Gema in Lapa tonight beginning at 9PM. Created by Martins and journalist Braulio Neto, the SPB project features live performances of great songs with syncopated two by four (2/4) rhythms, with Augusto Martins providing vocals accompanied by seven-string guitars, tambourines, and other instruments.

Jazz Leviano (Lapa)
Every Tuesday the Leviano bar in Lapa is opening its doors for free jazz nights. Guga Pellicciotti and his trio will perform tonight and Rádio Rua will spin during breaks.

Papagaio Sabido and Ana Costa (Centro)
At 7:30PM, singer-songwriter and guitarist Ana Costa will start off the night at Rio Scenarium by performing the best of samba and works from her third album. The group Papagaio Sabido will follow at 10:30PM with a performance of their repertoire filled with lively, crowd-pleasing national songs.

Language Exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English Language Exchange. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both a fun and educational night and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food.

This American-owned restaurant and bar on Copacabana Beach is a great place for food, drinks and entertainment. Every night, Tony Boka is performing live from 8PM until midnight. Boka is known for his varied repertoire that always pleases the crowd.

Shenanigan’s Live Music (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Happy Hour is dose dupla (two for one) on Mondays through Fridays 6PM-8PM. Additionally, tacos are half-price on Tuesdays. This is another great place to watch live streaming sports.
