Portuguese Lessons

The Rio Times is offering Portuguese lessons for beginners and conversational level classes. These are tailored to tourists as well as new arrivals and even those who have been here for some time but have not made the investment to become immersed in the language.

Lessons are available Monday – Friday, 10AM – 7PM, with the following options:
1) Basic grammar and pronunciation (for new arrivals)
2) Survival phrases (how to order food and get around Rio)
3) Conversational lessons (requires basic Portuguese knowledge)

Prices:
- One-on-One Classes – R$65/hour
- Couples Classes – R$55 each (R$110)/hour
- Groups of four Classes – R$45 each (R$180)/hour

All lessons will be held at the Gringo Cafe in Ipanema with courtesy bottomless cups of coffee. A 20 percent deposit is made in advance using a credit card online, the balance is paid in cash at the lesson.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early as lessons will begin at the scheduled time and last 55 minutes long.
