RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Pastor Silas Malafaia used social media on Tuesday afternoon to criticize Supreme Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes, classifying him as “dictator and tyrant,” and to call for the intervention of the Armed Forces in the STF.
In a string of posts, Malafaia states that Alexandre de Moraes is plotting an ‘insane saga against Bolsonaro’s supporters’, mentioning the moment when another Justice, Celso de Mello, compared Brazil with Nazi Germany.
“STF Justice has the freedom of expression to compare people to Nazis. If you speak against the STF, you are prosecuted,” said the leader, who described it as a “toga dictatorship”.
“THE ARMED FORCES AGAINST THIS TOGA DICTATOR! Article 142 of the Federal Constitution against this absurdity,” urged Malafaia.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes became an even more frequent target of criticism from Bolsonaro supporters when a dozen of them were arrested in investigations into anti-democratic demonstrations that directly attacked the STF, even launching fireworks against the court building on Sunday.
The pastor’s post:
“THE ARMED FORCES AGAINST THIS TOGA DICTATOR! Article 142 of the Federal Constitution against this absurdity! The press supports this nonsense that is Alexandre de Moraes, they want to overthrow Bolsonaro because they lost billions, the silence of Davi Alcolumbre, Rodrigo Maia, and the president of the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association). TOTAL SHAME!
