24-year-old Brazilian shot dead in Lisbon’s tourist district

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazilian Luiz Henrique Froede, 24, died after being shot in Alfama, one of Lisbon's most popular neighborhoods. The Portuguese Judicial Police are investigating the case, but has not yet commented on its progress.

Froede was shot at around 12:50 AM last Thursday, July 8. A native of Teófilo Otoni, Minas Gerais, he had been living in Lisbon since 2019.

According to a report by Portuguese SIC television network, witnesses reported that Froede was in a house together with several other people when the shooting occurred.
