In a story published by Forbes magazine, about the ascent of electronic music in Brazil, Balneário Camboriú was presented as “the capital of e-music” in the country. According to Forbes, Balneário Camboriú is the home to the two best clubs in Brazil, the Warung club and the Green Valley club, which the publication claims to make up to US$1.6 million per night.

The city is also known by the nickname “Brazilian Dubai”, due to its high number of skyscrapers and affluent tourists.

One of the city’s main attractions, which should be included in tourists’ itinerary, is the Unipraias Camboriú Park. The complex features three of the city’s beaches and is connected by cable cars and monorails. In addition, the park offers other activities such as trails and zip-lines. Laranjeiras Beach is one of the families’ favorites, with a calmer sea, which makes it attractive for children.

One of the best views of Balneário Camboriú is from Careca Hill, one of the most spectacular natural formations in the region. Through trails in the middle of the preserved forest, tourists reach the top of the hill from where they paraglide, flying over its natural wonders.

To try the best restaurants in Balneario Camboriú, or for those passionate about fashion and fine shopping, the San Miguel Boardwalk is the best option. This exclusive pedestrian street houses the best of local trade and offers good entertainment options.

The same is good for Atlantica Avenue, the main beachfront of Balneario Camboriú. With some of the best hotels and restaurants, the street is sculpted by the beautiful scenery of the hottest beach in town. Besides, other good beach options to enjoy surfing, boat rides, and even diving, are Gamboa Beach and Estaleiro Beach, the latter with beautiful natural pools.

Finally, another attraction with trails and contact with nature in Balneário Camboriú is Aguada Hill. The place is also accessible by the Unipraias cable car system and offers tourists one of the most beautiful views of the state coast.

What to do in Balneário Camboriú

Unipraias Camboriú Park

This tourist complex gathers the best and most beautiful attractions of Balneário Camboriú by means of a system of cable cars and trams. Connecting beaches like Laranjeiras, the main axis of the Park includes countless attractions to entertain families and groups of friends. These are Tyrolese, trails and other must-see attractions. In addition, in the end, tourists can explore the natural charms of the Environmental Park.

Careca Hill

Careca Hill is a rocky coastline surrounded by Atlantic Forest that forms a fantastic natural lookout, 104 m above sea level. The area is much sought after by Hang gliders and Paragliders. The area offers an impressive structure aimed to host tourists, with restrooms, a souvenir store, parking, surveillance, and snack bar.

San Miguel Tour

Invest part of your trip through what is the city’s main gastronomic and tourist axis. The San Miguel Boardwalk is home to the best restaurants in Balneario Camboriú, as well as bars and snack bars – it’s a real open-air mall. It is typically a great entertainment option on the weekend nights.

Aguada Hill

Connected by the Unipraias system, Aguada Hill is one of the most fascinating areas to explore nature. It features several trails, in addition to offering a zip line ride to Laranjeiras beach or a monorail trip through the forest.

Gamboa Beach

Gamboa Beach features crystal clear waters and is still little known, which makes it attractive for those seeking greater exclusivity. Its shore offers a number of restaurants with seafood dishes, as well as some craft stores.

Atlântica Avenue

The main avenue of the city, which cuts through the city’s most bustling beach, is a great destination for shopping, more inexpensive restaurants, in addition to plenty of entertainment and fun. The area features a great infrastructure for sports, being sought for racing and hiking. It is worth exploring the region.

Estaleiro Beach

Further away from the bustle, Estaleiro Beach offers beautiful natural pools that appear during low tide. With good restaurants, in addition to adequate infrastructure, the region has not lost its rustic charm, still preserving a good natural area.
