Bolsonaro Effect: 43 Cities in Paraná to Reopen Trade on Wednesday

'We cannot compromise economic stability, which guarantees the maintenance of public services, including human existence,' says a mayor.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In a videoconference meeting held on Friday, 43 mayors of the Association of Municipalities of Western Paraná (AMOP) unanimously agreed to gradually reopen trade in the region's cities as of this Wednesday.

"The maintenance of public services depends on the revenue that goes into the city's treasury, resulting from companies' turnover. One is linked to the other. Serenity is needed at this time.
