Read below an excerpt from the interview, which will appear in the Veja issue published on  May 31st.

Veja: With pension reform approved, what do you see happening next?

Bolsonaro: “Let’s start with tax reform and privatization. I have already given the green light to privatize the Post Office.”

“Our focus is to explain why it is necessary to privatize. In the case of the Post Office, the Worker’s Party (PT) destroyed the company. The problem is so big that the postal workers’ pension fund, which is now broke, made investments in Venezuelan securities.”

“What on earth for? For the love of God! So we have to convince the public that there is no other way than to privatize the Post Office.”

“The same thing will happen with other institutions. There are many organizations that provide useless jobs within the government.”
