Bolsonaro’s Measure Ending Vehicle Insurance Will Impact Political Rival Bivar

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - President Jair Bolsonaro's decision to enact a provisional measure to extinguish compulsory DPVAT and DPEM vehicle accident insurance as of January 2020, will impact the business of Luciano Bivar's, the head of PSL, until yesterday the party of the president.

Currently in a spat with the President, Bivar is the controlling shareholder and chairman of the board of directors of Excelsior, one of the insurance companies accredited by the government to cover DPVAT insurance.
