Brazil Closes Air Borders to Non-resident Foreigners of All Nationalities

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Chief of Staff, Braga Netto; Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Sérgio Moro; Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes, and Minister of Health, Luiz Henrique Mandetta, issued a new ordinance, on Friday, March 27th, restricting the entry of foreigners of all nationalities into Brazil for 30 days due to the coronavirus.

There will be no restrictions on the transport of cargo.

Last week, the Federal Government had banned the entry of foreigners from countries with a higher risk of contagion, but decided to extend the air shutdown to all nationalities.
