Brazil Counts 20,047 Deaths Caused by Novel Coronavirus, Says Ministry (May 21)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Thursday, May 21st, the Ministry of Health published the most recent balance of cases and deaths caused by the novel coronavirus. The main data are:

20,047 deaths, there were 18,859 on Wednesday (May 20th);
There were 1,188 deaths recorded in 24 hours;
310,087 confirmed cases;
18,508 new cases were included in the balance in 24 hours;
125,960 patients recovered (40.6 percent) .
