Brazil Counts 5,717 Confirmed Cases and 201 Deaths by Covid-19 (March 31st)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In one day, Brazil confirmed 42 more Covid-19 deaths, according to data from the Ministry of Health released on Tuesday, March 31st. The number of deaths increased from 159 to 201, the majority being people over 60.

The country has also reached the highest number of confirmed infections for a 24-hour period: 1,138. There are now 5,717 people infected with the coronavirus.
