Brazil Reaches 30,000 Cases and Nearly 2,000 Deaths from Covid-19 (April 16th)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - With another 2,105 new confirmed cases, Brazil has reached the mark of 30,425 people infected by coronavirus, according to data from the Ministry of Health released on Thursday, April 16th.

The number of deaths has grown by 188 since the last report and now stands at 1,924. The mortality rate of the disease is 6.3 percent.

The state of São Paulo continues to be the most affected, with 853 deaths and 11,568 confirmed cases of the disease. Four other states have also passed the mark of one thousand infections: Rio . . .
