Brazil Records 553 Deaths and 12,056 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases (April 6th)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - With 926 new cases confirmed in one day, Brazil has 12,056 confirmed infections with the coronavirus (causing Covid-19), according to data from the Ministry of Health released on Monday, April 6th. Since March 31st, new confirmed infections exceeded or reached nearly 1,000 daily.

Confirmed deaths have grown by almost 70 in 24 hours. On Sunday, April 5th, there were 486 deaths and now there are 553. As with the latest pandemic data update reports in the country, the mortality rate has been rising and now stands at 4.6 percent.
