Brazil should have an Oxford University research facility by 2022

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - According to the Ministry of Health, this will be the first unit of the educational institution in the Americas. The structure should be installed in 2022 and will conduct research on vaccines, infectious diseases, clinical research and global health.

It will offer master's degrees, doctorates and refresher courses for professionals in the facility's fields of operation.

Oxford University is part of a consortium with AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company, which in partnership with Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) produces and distributes one of the main vaccines against covid-19 in Brazil, known as Oxford-AstraZeneca.
