Brazil’s app delivery giant iFood now accepts Pix as payment for all users
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – From Monday, May 17, iFood will accept Pix as a payment method for all of the app’s users in Brazil. The new payment method was developed with Zoop, a financial services fintech.

iFood customers who want to use the new feature will have the option to choose bank transfer via Pix when finalizing the order, in the payment stage. By selecting the option, the app generates a Pix code, which must be used in the customer’s bank to transfer the order amount for delivery.
Customers have up to five minutes to complete the payment, and unless it is completed within this time frame, the order will be automatically canceled in the app. According to iFood, the system ensures greater security in the operation, both for customers and for restaurants.
“For customers who prefer to pay for delivery instantly, the Pix will be a great alternative, and will also serve the public who do not have credit cards or do not want to use their purchase limit,” explains Alessandro Raposo, Zoop’s marketing director.
