RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - BTG Pactual has confirmed that it is "negotiating on an exclusive basis a potential transaction with Grupo Universa, although no binding document has been issued to date. Universa is the holding company controlling Empiricus Research, Vitreo and Money Times, among others.
BTG Pactual's statement came in a letter sent to the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), which requested information on the news about the negotiation reported by the press last week.
