“The possible tax reform may not be the largest, but it will be better than the current system,” he said, during the event “Industry under debate: proposals for Brazil to grow again,” promoted by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).

The heads of both the Chamber and the Senate agreed to divide among them the main points of the tax reform to be processed in the two Houses.

Vaccination

In the meeting, Lira said that vaccination is the starting point for a return to normality and stressed that, without it, there can be no economic recovery.

According to the Chamber president, more than ever it is necessary to seize this time of crisis to prepare Brazil.

Present at the event, Senate president Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM-MG), said that both he and Lira are ” fully committed” to the new reform agenda.
