Brazil’s coffee exports up 9 pct in February 2021

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil, the world's leading coffee producer and exporter, exported 3,279,558 bags of 60-kg coffee in February this year, up 9 percent from the same month in 2020 (3,008,096 bags), the Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafe) said Tuesday, March 9th.

It was the best February since 2017, according to statistics released by the trade group based in São Paulo. "Brazilian exports remained solid," Cecafe president Nicolas Rueda said.

In addition, February's invoices grew 4.7 percent year-on-year, at 423.7 million U.S. dollars, the Cecafe said.
