Brazil’s EMBRAER delivers first E195-E2 jet to Swiss Helvetic Airways
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – EMBRAER, the world’s third-largest producer of civil aircraft, on Wednesday, June 23, delivered the first of four E195-E2 aircraft to Helvetic Airways of Switzerland. The other three jets will leave the São José dos Campos (SP) plant by the end of July this year.

In 2018, Helvetic ordered 12 E-Jets E2 to start its fleet renewal: eight E190-E2s already in service and four E195-E2s, as well as the right to buy 12 more aircraft.
The fleet also includes four first-generation E190 jets. When the remaining three E195-E2s are delivered, Helvetic will have 16 E-Jets.
Helvetic Airways is a Swiss regional airline headquartered in Kloten with its fleet stationed at Zûrich Airport.
In 2018, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) expanded its partnership with Helvetic Airways, announcing that it will deploy up to eight Helvetic Airways Embraer E190-E2 aircraft or similar equipment on its route network, from 2019 onwards
It operates flights to destinations in Europe and Northern Africa, mainly leisure markets, on its own behalf, as well as scheduled flights on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines and Lufthansa, using their fleet of Embraer 190s and Embraer 190-E2s.
