Brazil’s Industrial Production Grows in 11 of 15 Locations Surveyed by IBGE

Industrial production has increased in 11 of the 15 locations surveyed by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) in the period from July to August this year.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - According to the Monthly Regional Industrial Survey, the greatest advances occurred in Amazonas (7.8 percent) and Pará (6.8 percent).

Other locations that recorded growth were São Paulo (2.6 percent), Ceará (2.4 percent), Pernambuco (2.1 percent), Rio de Janeiro (1.3 percent), Mato Grosso (1.1 percent), Minas Gerais (one percent), Paraná (0.3 percent), Northeast Region (0.2 percent) and Goi . . .
