Brazil’s Itajaí Shipyards Win Best Boats in Brazil Awards
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The city of Itajaí in Santa Catarina State, close to Florianopolis, is home to three shipyards with the best boats in the country.
In addition to acknowledging the quality of the local workforce, the Bombarco award also reinforces the city’s title of “Santa Catarina’s Capital of Naval Construction and Nautical Tourism”.

The award ceremony took place in São Paulo (SP) last week. Of the six trophies in dispute, companies headquartered in Itajaí won five. The Italian shipyard Fibrafort won prizes in the Leisure category, with the boat Focker 242 GTO, and in the Family category, with the boat F 420.
Azimut won in the Luxury categories, with boat Azimut 62, and Yacht, with boat Azimut Grande 27 Metri. The NHD shipyard won Boat of the Year, with the NHD 270.
In Brazil, more than 100 national and international shipyards work in the manufacture of sports and leisure vessels, of which at least 10 companies operate in Itajaí.
