RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Iron in souls, love for others - the state of Minas Gerais was considered by the Traveller Review Awards 2021, sponsored by Booking.com, as one of the ten most welcoming regions on the planet. It is the only Brazilian region listed in the company's ranking.
The result is based on the positive ratings provided by travelers on the platform, who considered the historical destinations and the region's unique cuisine as one of the best experiences on the globe. It is the first time that a Brazilian region is awarded the prize, held annually.
