RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus reached 800 in Brazil, according to data released yesterday, April 8th, by the Ministry of Health. The result marks a 20 percent increase in relation to Tuesday, when 667 deaths were recorded.
São Paulo concentrates the highest number of people killed by complications of the disease, with 428. The state is followed by Rio de Janeiro (106), Pernambuco (46), Ceará (43) and Amazonas (30).
In addition, deaths were recorded in Paraná (17), Santa Catarina (15), Bahia (15), Minas Gerais (14), Federal District (12), Rio Grande do Norte . . .
