Brazil’s state-owned savings bank Caixa will open 130 branches nationwide by year-end

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Caixa Econômica Federal will open 130 units throughout the country by the end of the year, the bank's president Pedro Guimarães announced on May 20. In all, 79 branches to serve the public and 51 specialized agribusiness branches will start operating in 128 municipalities.

With the expansion of the network, the bank will operate in all Brazilian municipalities with over 40,000 inhabitants.

Caixa will open 20 branches in the Midwest region: 1 in the Federal District; 5 in Goiás; 7 in Mato Grosso and 7 in Mato Grosso do Sul . . .
