Brazil’s soy exports set record in March and will total 82 million tons in the year – ANEC

ANEC said it expects Brazil to export 82 million tons this year, compared to 82.3 million tons in 2020. Private consultants, however, are pointing to Brazilian exports of about 85 million tons for 2021.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil's soybean exports totaled 14.9 million tons in March, against 13.3 million in the same period last year, data from the National Association of Cereal Exporters (ANEC) showed Wednesday, marking a new monthly record for shipments of the oilseed.

In April, soybean foreign sales are projected between 14 million and 16.3 million tons, ANEC added in a weekly bulletin, signaling potential for a new historic mark later this month.

However, the association pointed out that the estimate is based on ship schedules and therefore "considers the possibility of lower shipments of cargoes . . .
