Brazil Workers Party President Paid R$3.8 Million in Slush Funds by Major Contractors

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In Annex 12 of his accusation, Antonio Palocci discloses that the current PT national president, Gleisi Hoffmann, had received the sum of R$3.8 million from three contractors in the 2010 campaign when she was elected senator for Paraná.

According to VEJA, in 2017, when the minister was still negotiating a potential plea bargain with the Lava Jato task force in Curitiba, construction company Camargo Corrêa passed on R$1 million to Gleisi as part of a deal to bury Operation Castelo de Areia in the Superior Federal Court (STJ).
