China Qualifies More Brazilian Meat Packing Plants as Export Eligible

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Twenty-five more Brazilian meatpacking plants are eligible to sell meat to China according to a statement from the Chinese Health Agency (GACC).

Of the new authorized establishments, 17 are beef producers, six are chicken, one is pork, and one is donkey meat producer.

This communiqué was sent on Monday, September 9th to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (MAPA). The number of qualified plants increases from 64 to 89.

Of the newly authorized establishments, 17 are beef producers, six are chicken, one is pork, and one is donkey meat. Companies can start exporting immediately.

Negotiations were conducted by MAPA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Brazilian Embassy in China.
