RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The state of Ceará passed Rio de Janeiro and became the second state with the second-most confirmed cases of the disease, behind only São Paulo.
Overall, Ceará recorded a total of 21,077 cases of the novel coronavirus by Thursday, May 14th, while Rio de Janeiro counted 19,467.
However, the number of deaths by Covid-19 is still higher in Rio de Janeiro. There are 2,247 deaths recorded in Rio against 1,413 in Ceará. The data point to a greater capacity of testing in Ceará, which has conducted 55,035 tests . . .
