Alibaba Cloud, a cloud computing company and subsidiary of the Alibaba Group, will start operating in Brazil in the coming months, after reaching an agreement with the Brazilian company UOL Diveo, which will resell the services of the Chinese company.

Negotiations between Alibaba and UOL Diveo have lasted three months, and Alibaba Cloud’s interest in operating in Brazil is directly linked to the arrival in Brazil of a Chinese company that requested its service, UOL Diveo CEO Gil Torquato told local media.

He said he saw this cooperation as an opportunity for Brazilian companies in China as well.
