Dollar Passes R$4.18, Second Highest Value Since Creation of Real in 1994

On a tense trading day, the stock market fell and the US currency closed at its second-highest level in history.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The commercial dollar closed this Wednesday, November 13th, sold at R$4.187, with a high of R$0.02 (0.48 percent).

The currency reached its second-highest value since the creation of the Brazilian real, second only to the rate of R$4,196 recorded on September 13th, 2018.

The dollar traded high throughout the session, but settled above R$4.18 from early afternoon, until closing . . .
