RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Dutch multinational Nutreco has just formalized the terms of its purchase of Bigsal, an animal nutrition manufacturer from Rondonia. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.
The deal will join Trouw Nutrition's extensive portfolio of feed supplements, which will eventually increase Nutreco Brazilian subsidiary's market share in beef and dairy cattle breeding, including nutritional solutions for fish and pets.
Brazil's antitrust agency CADE (Administrative Council of Economic Law) will analyze the acquisition. The buying group is present in 35 countries with direct vertical operations and in another 80 in marketing.
